Inspired By Traditional Methods
From first conception to perfect cure, our soaps are made in the traditional cold-process method for long-lasting quality.
Our process begins in nature, where we sustainably harvest ingredients to create our original recipes.
Imbu​ed With Nature's Goodness
To give you a sense of our crafting process, we often begin in the garden where we grow and gather skin soothing herbs and botanicals for soap-making. These are then slowly infused into oils like olive, sweet almond, and sunflower. These herbal oils are then combined with waters steeped in herbs like calendula, violet, and rose (to name only a few!).
Our creativity then moves into the soap kitchen. Natural clays and heirloom dye plants imbue our soaps with earthy colours. Specially designed soap molds and carving tools give each loaf of soap a unique shape and form. These soap loaves are then cut into personal sized bars for individual use. Then finally, nature's power finds it's way to your bath and shower and daily cleansing takes on a whole new meaning!

At LATHER & SOAK, we recognize that being eco-friendly goes far beyond recycling and turning off lights when we leave the room. It is a reawakening to the natural rhythms of the Earth and a commitment to aligning ourselves with these rhythms. By consciously making and using our eco-friendly soap, we believe we are living in greater harmony with the Earth.
